Austin junior Logan Kelly has been in the pool consistently since he was about eight. All of the practices paid off this past winter as he set a school record in the 100-meter breaststroke.
Not only was his time the best in school history, but it also put him amongst the best high school swimmers in the country. Kelly was recently named an All-American by the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association for his performances as a sophomore.
The 15-year-old savored the recognition for a moment, but he's not done pushing himself yet.
"It's pretty good. It feels pretty nice," Kelly said. "But there are some people that are my age that ranked higher than me and I don't like that they're faster than me."
