(ABC 6 News) - On Monday the MSHSL added more regulations regarding the start of the spring sports season, stopping all teams from practicing.

Now athletes will have to train on their own, making sure they will be ready when the season starts-- if it starts.

"If we do come back beginning of April, how do we make sure the last two weeks haven't been totally lost in terms of fitness and technique?" St. Charles' boys track and field Head Coach Eric Klein said.

Athletes and coaches have no control of what will happen, but they just have to keep moving forward.

"It's not going to be the way it always has been," Klein said. "The coaching staffs are going to have to think creatively, outside of the box to make sure that we're providing our kids with the resources so that they may continue to be successful and happy and healthy."

This is a tough time for everyone. Klein is hoping his athletes come out of this stronger than ever.

"If you've been around sports at all you know part of what sports is, it's not always just the victories, it's also learning how to deal with when things don't go the way you expect it. So through all of this I think there's going to be really important things that the kids are able to take from it."
