(ABC 6 News) - After a slow start, the Grand Meadow Superlarks found their groove at home, crushing Houston 43-6 in the regular season finale.
The game got off to a rocky start with the Hurricanes jumping out to an early lead. Mikkel Schutte found Alex Van Gundy for a long touchdown in the first quarter to put the Hurricanes up.
But the team found it's spark in the defense and special teams. They blocked a punt that rolled out of the end zone for a safety, and the rest of the team came to life.
Their next possession they methodically moved the ball down the field before Daniel Smith found the end zone, running it in on fourth and goal to give the Superlarks the lead.
The rest of the game was all Grand Meadow, who snapped a three-game losing streak to the Hurricanes. They close their season on a high note with a 43-6.
