(ABC 6 News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office arrested a Rochester woman Wednesday who had drug-related warrants in both Wabasha and Olmsted County.

The sheriff's office began an investigation in February after receiving information from Wabasha County that it was looking for 34-year-old Marina Garza of Rochester who had a warrant for 5th-degree controlled substance crime.

About a week later, in early March, Captain Behrns said the Olmsted County District Court issued warrants for Garza for 1st-degree controlled substance sales, 2nd-degree controlled substance possession and introducing contraband into jail.

Using information gathered during the investigation, the sheriff's office served a search warrant at 509 2nd Street NW Wednesday just after 2 p.m.

Captain Behrns said Garza opened the door and was taken into custody. The sheriff's office said Garza had 10.4 grams of suspected methamphetamine on her at the time of her arrest.

Garza is facing charges related to the existing warrants as well as a possible additional charge of 5th-degree controlled substance.
