(ABC 6 News) - A Rochester woman has been taken into custody after police said she refused to wear a mask at a Rochester restaurant.
The Rochester Police Department was called to Charlie's Pub around 1:15 a.m. Thursday for a woman who was repeatedly asked by staff to wear a mask. The woman refused and staff told her multiple times to leave but she would not.
When officers arrived they also told the woman to leave and she refused. Officers began escorting the woman out but the RPD said the woman started getting physical with them and kicked an officer in the leg in the process.
The woman, 23-year-old Mer Gach, was taken into custody and is charged with fourth-degree assault and obstructing the legal process.
