Traffic stop leads to seizure of counterfeit pills containing Fentanyl

(ABC 6 News) - A traffic stop on Wednesday night on Highway 52 near the Goodhue County-Olmsted County line led to the arrest of a man carrying counterfeit Oxy pills that contain Fentanyl.

According to Olmsted County Court documents, Abdimajid Said Mohamed, 23, was pulled over after a driving complaint stated that a vehicle was crossing the center and fog lines at varying speeds. 

A MSP trooper located the vehicle and noticed that it had crossed completely from the right lane to the left lane and back. 

A traffic stop was initiated. The trooper identified Mohamed and noticed he was physically lethargic with lethargic speech. 

Mohamed told the trooper he used Fentanyl about two hours prior to driving.

The trooper noticed there was an active arrest warrent for Mohamed who was then taken to the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center where deputies searched him and found a bag that contained 822 round blue pills marked "M30" which are commonly recognized as counterfeit Oxy pills containing Fentanyl.

Mohamed is charged with three felonies, 1st-and 2nd-degree controlled substance drug sales, 2nd-degree controlled substance possession, and 4th-degree DWI which is a misdemeanor. 

A blood sample was also sent to the BCA for testing.
