(ABC 6 NEWS) - SPARK Children's Museum in Rochester has continued to grow in its new space this past year and now they are taking their museum outside.
On Tuesday the museum unveiled its new space, 'SPARKPARK,' an outdoor space for children to learn and participate in new activities. They have an outdoor reading program, yoga, bee education, and a new program about growing plants.
"Every week we are going to have a Let's Grow the program so they are gonna watch the garden grow, they are going to use their magnifying glasses and once the vegetables come then we get to taste test them, so that is really really exciting," said SPARK Development Manager, Lindsey Hemker.
Hemker said the first year in the new space has gone well and they are excited to welcome more visitors and exhibits to the museum.
SPARK is planning on adding more exhibits in the coming months. The museum is open every day except Monday and you can find out more here about SPARKPARK and new activities coming to the museum.
