(ABC 6 News) -- A Rochester man was arrested after authorities said he showed up to a man's house and pulled a gun on him around 1 a.m. on Friday, March 27 on the 300 block of 55 St. NE in Cascade Township.

Olmsted County Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns said 34-year-old Nicholas Gerken was drunk and showed up at a 19-year-old man's house.

The victim told deputies he opened his door to see Gerken standing there and he said that's when Gerken pulled out a handgun.

The victim said he slammed the door shut and later he and a group of people went outside to see if they could get Gerken to calm down. As they waited for police, they said Gerken made more threats and pulled out the gun again to give it to someone, but then put it back in his waistband.

Once deputies got there, they asked Gerken if he had any weapons. Capt. Behrns said Gerken pulled out the gun, but a deputy was able to grab it and arrest Gerken.

Capt. Behrns said the gun was actually an airsoft gun. Gerken was brought to the crisis receiving unit and Capt. Behrns said he had a blood alcohol content of .32.

Gerken is facing a possible assault charge.
