According to the Rochester Police Department, the call came in around 4:40 a.m. that the car went into the Civic Center entrance. When police got there, the car was still in the building, and an officer pulled his squad car up behind it.

Then, police say the woman driving the car backed into the squad, ramming into it twice. The officer backed up, and the woman got behind the squad, essentially chasing him and then rammed into the back end of the squad.

Police then chased the woman to the Kwik Trip on Civic Center Drive where they surrounded the woman and took her into custody. She was brought to the hospital to be evaluated first.

The officer whose squad car was hit was also sent to the hospital for an evaluation.

Police have not yet released the identity of the woman, but they say she's 36-years-old and police are familiar with her. Police believe she may have been under the influence at the time.

ABC 6 News has a crew on scene and will continue to bring more information as it becomes available.
