(ABC 6 NEWS) - Police were called to Valleyhigh Flats in Northwest Rochester early Thursday morning. Callers told police a man in a gray pickup truck was banging on the doors to get in.

Rochester police arrived at Valleyhigh Flats and found a broken cinderblock that looked like it had been used to pound into the door. Police then saw a man that fit the description callers gave trying to leave in the pickup truck.

Rochester Police pulled the man over and tried to arrest him for a DWI. He wrestled with officers to the ground and police used a taser to get him into custody.

A search warrant and a blood test were done, and Halvor Iverson, 29, was arrested on possible charges for a 2nd-degree DWI, obstruction of the legal process, and fleeing an officer on foot.

Iverson is charged with gross misdemeanor counts of obstructing the legal process and a DWI.
