(ABC 6 News) -- A Rochester man has been arrested in connection with catalytic converter thefts in Howard County, Iowa.
The Howard County Sheriff's Office released information on Saturday and said that Tyler Jeffrey Schacherer of Rochester was arrested near Lime Springs. Authorities say Schacherer was caught in the act of stealing catalytic converters in the area.
The Howard County Sheriff's Office said they conducted a search and recovered seven catalytic converters from Schacherer.
Schacherer is charged with second-degree possession of stolen property and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
