Person receives minor injuries, garage destroyed by fire Monday afternoon

(ABC 6 News) – One person was treated for minor injuries and a garage was destroyed during a fire in southeast Rochester Monday afternoon.
Fire crews were called to 1539 10 Ave SE just after 4:30 p.m. where a detached garage was engulfed in flames. One vehicle was inside the garage with another parked nearby in the driveway also engulfed in flames.
The fire also reportedly damaged power lines in the area creating dangerous conditions for the firefighters. Rochester Public Utilities also responded to cut power to those lines allowing the fire crews to work more safely.
RFD’s Fire Marshal Division arrived at the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
One person was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The estimated damage has not been identified.
