(ABC 6 News) - The Rochester Police Department said a man with active warrants in several southeastern Minnesota counties was arrested in Rochester Thursday. The warrants included fleeing in a motor vehicle, drug possession out of Fillmore, Olmsted, and Winona Counties. Police said Rathbun is also a registered predatory offender

Lt. Faudskar with the RPD said investigators had been searching 55-year-old Brian Rathbun from Lewiston. On Thursday morning the investigation brought them to the Willow Creek Campground in Rochester.

Officers said they believed Rathbun was sitting in a truck next to a camper. The RPD said when Rathbun saw police he drove off but officers had blocked off the exit. Officers said Rathbun then got out of the truck and ran away. With the assistance of K9 Kola, Rathbun was taken into custody.

Rathbun is charged with new counts of fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.
