(ABC 6 News) – A man wanted in Mower County for violation of a no-contact order and on multiple felony warrants was arrested in Rochester Friday.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office said deputies tried to stop 41-year-old Tyler Rubin near E Circle Drive near Broadway Ave N. Friday around 9:30 p.m. Deputies turned on their lights and sirens and Rubin reportedly drove off. During the chase the sheriff’s office said Rubin drove recklessly even going off the road at some points, he also drove into oncoming traffic on Broadway. The pursuit was terminated for safety reasons.

A short time later Rubin’s vehicle got stuck in the median and he ran on foot. Officers with the Rochester Police Department were called in to help and were able to find and arrest Rubin.

While deputies were speaking with Rubin they could smell alcohol and noted his speech was slow and slurred.

Rubin is facing several possible charges including fleeing in a motor vehicle, driving after revocation and failure to obey traffic signals.
