(ABC 6 NEWS) - On Thursday, July 2, a traffic stop occurred at the 1000 block of 9th Ave. SE in Rochester for the driver's brake light not working and failure to stop at a stop sign, according to the Olmsted County Sherriff's office.

The deputy saw two open Budweiser cans in the car and did a probable cause search warrant. The officer found that the man had an expired registration and gave a false name to the officer, according to Olmsted County Sherriff's Office. Once the deputy figured out that the man was Andre Chaplin, 33 from Rochester, and learned there was a warrant out for his arrest. The deputy told Chaplin he was going to be arrested and Chaplin ran from the officer. He was eventually caught and arrested, according to deputies.
