(ABC 6 News) - UPDATE: The City of Rochester has announced Lime Scooters will return to Rochester on Wednesday, June 10.

The Rochester City Council voted to approve a contract with Lime to bring Lime Scooters back.
The city says Lime will relaunch in early June with 200 scooters and 25 e-bikes. After the first month, the fleet will grow to a maximum of 300 scooters and 50 e-bikes, depending on usage.
"Scooters and e-bikes are fast and efficient. They also provide an alternative in transportation networks as commuters and transit agencies work to find new ways to move around efficiently in a time of lower bus occupancy due to physical distancing," said Nick Lemmer, RPT communications coordinator and spokesperson for Arrive Rochester.
The city worked with Olmsted County Public Health to provide guidance on sanitizing the scooters and education riders on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
