Congressional candidate talks southern Minnesota economy

(ABC 6 News) - In the final stretch to November 3rd, DFL Congressional candidate Dan Feehan attended a roundtable event Friday afternoon.

Feehan met with members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 343.  Feehan shared his plan for rebuilding southern Minnesota's economy and the importance of apprenticeship programs for the building and construction trades.

"[The] future of our economy here is going to be one that involves the building of construction trades, in particular. They're great sources for jobs for southern Minnesota kids growing up here," said Feehan.

"We got to make sure southern Minnesota kids know about those jobs on the front end in the first place. So, it's a good chance to talk to them to learn what a member of congress can do to better advocate for their training, and their members going forward."
