(ABC 6 News) - Echo Church in Rochester has occupied space in the Castle for over a year and a half, but now the church is making a move to somewhere else in Rochester.

Starting May 1st, Echo Church will hold services at Mayo High School by renting out the auditorium, the lobby and the cafeteria on Sundays.

Although this is a change the lead pastor at Echo, Andy Cass, is hopeful this will allow for more growth.

"We are actually, I believe, at a pressure point in that space, the Castle. So this is a good move for continued growth. We've seen exponential growth over the last few years and this will actually house us even better," Cass said.

Cass said he is excited to be back in southeast Rochester since they started at Kellogg Middle School in September of 2019.

"We think Echo Church can be your people, your place and your purpose and it's one space you can come to and find all three of them and that's what significant and different about Echo is you can come to one space, you can experience that all in that place and it really has nothing to do with the building. It's all about its people and the heart of it," he said.

Church services will be held on Sundays at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. at Mayo High School for at least the next year.
