(ABC 6 News) - A new business opened this week inside the new shopping center in Kasson.
It's called Clem's Cups and Cones, and it offers a variety of items to try such as Ice cream, Soft serve, Hand scoop, Dole whip, 1919 Root beer, Sundaes, Frappes and Smoothies.
Last month, the former Shopko turned into a shopping center called Plaza 57, which is being transformed and will be home to 9 different businesses.
Opening a business during a pandemic can be challenging but owners say business has been so far so good.
"We're both new to owning a business so it was a big step for us and do our research and see exactly what we had to do to make it be in compliance," says Jay and Leahann Clemens, Owners of Clem's Cups and Cones. "The community has been great we've followed all the regulations and people are you know they understand the social distancing and the masking and everything,"
They say the most popular items are Peanut butter Dream and Reese's with peanut butter sauce.
Hours are noon to 8 p.m. daily.
