(ABC 6 News) - The Austin Police Department said a 3-year-old was seriously hurt in a hit-and-run crash Saturday night and they are seeking information on the individuals involved.
The APD said the boy was hit near the intersection of 1st Street and 3rd Ave SW around 10 p.m. Police Chief McKichan said the driver did not stop and made no attempt to check on the child.
The 3-year-old was airlifted to Rochester and sustained several serious injuries in the accident said police.
A witness told police they believed the vehicle was a dark-colored SUV and there may be damage near the passenger side headlight.
The Austin Police Department is seeking information from the public in this case and anyone who might live in the area with camera systems is asked to check them for any retained video from around this time period.
The condition of the child as of Monday was not available.
