(ABC 6 News) -- A Rochester woman was arrested after authorities said she was driving the wrong way, was under the influence, and assaulted a deputy.

On Saturday, May 22, around 2:10 a.m., an Olmsted County Sheriff's deputy was traveling north on West Circle Drive NW, near Superior Drive NW in Rochester when they saw an SUV traveling on the wrong side of the road.

The deputy said the driver must have realized they were on the wrong side of the road and said the driver drove through the median to get to the right side of the road.

Once the deputy pulled the driver over, they said they could tell she was under the influence and conducted a field sobriety test. The deputy said the driver, 38-year-old Sarah Drysdale of Rochester, failed the field sobriety test.

As the deputy began to handcuff Drysdale, they said she began to fight and tried to run.

The deputy was able to get Drysdale to the ground where she allegedly hit another female deputy in the arm and shoulder. That deputy suffered bruising, swelling, and minor pain from the incident.

Drysdale is facing charges of third and fourth-degree DWI along with obstructing the legal process and assaulting a peace officer.
