(ABC 6 News) – One of the major financial agencies in our area is showing generosity to a non-profit in Rochester.

The folks at First Alliance Credit Union donated nearly eight thousand dollars to the Jeremiah program.

Jeremiah Program is a newer non-profit in the city that’s dedicated to providing affordable housing and support for single moms and their children across Rochester.

The money donated will go towards individual coaching and support as well as educational workshops.

"Our mission does align a lot with the Jeremiah Program, essentially it’s people helping people and so what better way to do that. That’s one of the ways that we give back to the community is being good corporate citizens and just supporting those that are less fortunate," First Alliance Credit Union President Michael Rosek, said.

Last year, the program served more than 80 families.
