(ABC 6 News) -- A DFL candidate for Minnesota Attorney General stopped in Rochester on Tuesday as part of a statewide campaign tour.
Mike Rothman previously served as Minnesota's Commerce Commissioner for seven years. He has also been a senator in the state legislature and has three decades of legal experience in Minnesota and California.
Rothman said his background in the various roles sets him apart from the other candidates running in November's election.
"I believe I have the strongest experience of all the candidates, having been the commerce commissioner and protecting Minnesotans as their watchdog and to be a strong courtroom lawyer ready to start and protect Minnesotans from day one," Rothman said.
Rothman is up against Keith Ellison, Tom Foley, Debra Hilstrom and Matt Pelikan in the DFL primary.
