(ABC 6 News) - In an effort to grow the conversation about the conditions of roads and bridges across Minnesota and promote his proposed gas tax, Governor Tim Walz has started a hashtag campaign called #MNpotholes.
The Governor is asking Minnesotans to take pictures of potholes and post them to social media using this hashtag along with their "pothole story."
A press release from Walz's office states, "Minnesota's transportation system is aging and struggling to keep up with the demands of our growing population. This puts the safety and well-being of our communities and businesses at risk," and that, "This is not a choice between whether we want the gas tax or not. It is a choice between living in a state with the best transportation system in the country or one with crumbling roads adn bridges taht risk our safety adn keep away businesses."
