(ABC 6 News)-- Even though two gun bills have been shot down at the state capitol this week, they're still generating quite a bit of talk. Advocates of gun reform are saying they're aren't done fighting.
The first bill is the Red Flag bill which would have given law enforcement or family members the ability to get a court order to keep someone deemed safe from having access to a gun.
Those against the gun reform bill say it's another step by the anti-gun advocates to infringe on a person's right to bear arms. However, those in favor of the bill say this policy is a common sense way to reduce mass shootings and gun suicides.
Volunteer co-lead of Rochester Moms Demand Action Alisha Eiken joined on the 6:30 to expand on why this is a cause that is worth fighting for.
