In-Depth at 6:30: Former U.S. Congressmen Speak on Political Climate (Part One)

(ABC 6 News)-- The current political climate seems tense and heated lately, and it makes some wonder if things will cool down. 

At 6:30, two former U.S. congressman from Minnesota sat down with ABC 6 News anchor Betsy Singer to talk about the good, the bad, and the current political state we are in.

Both former Republican congressman Gil Gutknecht and former Democratic congressman Tim Penny agreed that politics ebbs and flows, so it's not a matter of will it cool down, but when will it be calmer. Even though they are opposite sides of the aisle, both agreed that bridges need to be built locally just as much as it needs federally.
