(ABC 6 News) - Southeastern Minnesota native, Ralph Kaehler, has announced his candidacy for the Minnesota Senate District 21.

Kaehler is a Southeastern Minnesota native seeking the Democratic Farmer Labor (DFL) endorsement for State Senate District 21 that includes: Goodhue, Wabasha, and parts of Winona and Dodge counties. 


The seat is currently held by Republican Mike Goggins. 

In a press release, Kaehler wrote that he will campaign on major issues like affordable and accessible healthcare; out-state/rural equity and opportunity; and mitigating climate change with scalable, practical solutions.

“Like most of you, my family, job and business depend on Minnesota being prosperous. My family and I are engaged in the opportunities and struggles of living in out-state MN every day,” Kaehler said.

Kaehler is a fourth-generation farmer, worker, and solar business leader is a candidate of action.

Throughout his career, Ralph has built coalitions of support with people on both sides of the aisle, many sectors of business and in the communities impacted by his work and that of his family. Most notable are opening trade with Cuba and promoting Minnesota on missions to 4 different continents.
