Wet Start to October

Wet Start to October

October 10, 2018 09:56 AM

It's finally going to happen.  Rain comes to an end today!  After 9 consecutive days with rain, the radar is looking a lot drier.  This will be part of a much drier weather trend, one that may last as long as a week without any recordable rain.

As I write this on Tuesday morning, the area river rain gauges show they're higher, but not forecasted to get into minor flood stages - certainly good news.  We seem to have made it to the other side of that Flood Watch without any issue.

Folks will be back on the golf course, and in the pumpkin patches again soon, but this time with more layers of clothes.  A much drier weather pattern is settling in, but it comes with a significant drop in temperatures and some very strong winds.
