The cold front that has been causing rain for the past two days will finally sink far enough south to no longer be a problem for us, but it won't be replaced by sunshine. A small low-pressure system will develop at the end of the front and move to the south and through Central Iowa. It will send waves of showers north, into North Iowa then eventually into Southeastern Minnesota. But because it's so slow moving, those waves will continue to pass through Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Once that low has passed, then we get some sunshine. We're currently forecasting partly cloudy skies through the weekend!
