Alright, it's been long enough. This rain has got to go, but it won't for a little while longer. The cold front that moved through yesterday is sitting just to our south. Rain continues to follow the front. It starts with soaking rain this morning, then we'll see it fall apart and become just showers this afternoon and evening. I suspect there will be lots of dry time, but on occasion, a shower will send kids scrambling for cover on the playground.
A small low developing at the end of this front will pass through Central Iowa. This will bring more showers through the region on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. North Iowa will have a better chance of showers because those communities will be closer to the low. Rain showers will be spotted in Southeast Minnesota too, but not quite as many.
After we get through all this rain, we've got a great weekend ahead! Sunshine with highs in the 70s.
