(ABC 6 News) - The University of Minnesota Rochester gave an update today during its annual “State of the Campus”.
Last year, overall enrollment went up by 7%, with the incoming class pegged at over 200 students. It’s the largest intake to date.
Today’s focus, however, was not the quantity of students, but rather the quality.
Interim Chancellor, Lori Carrell, lead a discussion panel of students. “They are so vibrant and their stories are so incredibly interesting. People will hear some of those stories today.”
Carrell says the University hopes to keep up the momentum with an Enrollment Management Plan.
The goal is to increase enrollment by at least 50 students each year through recruitment and retention.
