(ABC 6 News) -- Two men were arrested in a major drug bust in Northern Iowa on Friday. That's according to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Department. Authorities said in a statement several law enforcement agencies executed search warrants at residences on 213 2nd St. and 110 Walnut St. in Hansell, Iowa. During the search, David Andrew Fielding, 40, of Hansell, IA, and Martin Rodriguez, 56, of Hampton, IA, were both arrested. Members of law enforcement said "multiple pounds of ice methamphetamine and firearms were recovered." The amount of methamphetamine seized is estimated to be at $60,000.
Both Fielding and Rodriguez were taken to Franklin County Jail. Fielding was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver (Class B Felony) and Violation of Drug Tax Stamp (Class D Felony). Rodriguez was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver (Class B Felony), Violation of Drug Tax Stamp (Class D Felony), and Possession of a Firearm as a prior Federal Drug Felon (Class D Felony).
Drug investigators with the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Department were assisted by the Clear Lake Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff's Department, Mason City Police Department, North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force, and Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
