(ABC 6 News) -- Rock On Trucks, a trucking company based out of Waite Park, MN, is looking to set up a base in the north Iowa area. They boast a multitude of unique trucks and trailers, from Disney characters to their line of tribute trucks.

The company kicked off a two year I-90 project earlier this summer. They say expanding a base in the area would be a good option for them.

"There's lots of work down here and we just think it's probably a good idea to get a foundation in down here and start brokering and running trucks out of this area," said operations manager of Rock on Trucks, Kevin Vierkant.

Rock On Trucks currently has over 50 trucks and around 40 dedicated owner-operators. They were founded in 2001 with a single truck and trailer. Today their equipment totals over five million dollars.

Their new base is planned to be set up around the Northwood area.

"We're currently looking for a location where we can probably stage anywhere from 30 to 40 trucks and have a repair shop, an office to do the dispatching and coordinate the workload," Vierkant said.

The expansion will create a multitude of jobs in the community.

"We've got some fun equipment to run so I hope we can team up and be a part of the community. I'm looking forward to it," said Vierkant.

Rock On Trucks hopes to have their new base in our area set up by early next spring.
