The calendar shows a flip to summer this Friday. Often times in June we get an early start at the summer season. No this year. This one has been termed cool (and soggy) so far. But over the next two weeks we'll be trending in the upwards direction.
A pattern shift allowing the jet stream to bump northwards returning a warmer air-mass from the south into the region will take place, replacing the cool, Canadian air-masses that have been dominating lately.
The trend is clear by the middle of next week, with 80s returning. Long-term, the end of June and early July are giving signals of above average temperature prospects too.
