Traffic Stop Leads to Significant Meth Bust

(ABC 6 News) - A traffic stop led to a large methamphetamine bust in Rochester Friday afternoon.

According to police, the stop was initiated in the 1200 block of Marion Road.

The driver, 34-year-old Gregory Garrido, had 10 prior convictions of driving without a license and was placed under arrest.  Police found just under an ounce of methamphetamine on his person.

A K9 officer also alerted to police that there were drugs inside the car.  

Rochester Police Captain John Sherwin said a bag belonging to 24-year-old Jamal Donovan contained 2.75 ounces of methamphetamine along with a large amount of cash and other items indicative of drug sales.

Garrido is facing a possible charge of 3rd-Degree Controlled Substance Possession.  Donovan is facing a possible charge of 2nd-Degree Controlled Substance Possession.
