Traffic Stop Finds Stolen Vehicle, Driver Arrested

(ABC 6 News) - A 31-year-old Rochester woman is in jail for allegedly stealing a vehicle and possessing methamphetamine. 

According to Olmsted County Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns, a deputy pulled a 2002 Buick LaSabre over in the 3000 block of Silver Creek Road NE in Haverhill Township, around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, for acting suspicious and not having a front license plate.

Captain Behrns said the deputy found that the driver of the vehicle, Misty Wenthold did not have a license and that her license had been revoked. 

According to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, the deputy also ran the back vehicle plate through the system and found out that the car was stolen from Altura on Tuesday. 

Wenthold also admitted to police that she had 0.6 grams of meth in her bra at the time of the arrest. 

Wenthold is facing possible charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, felony fifth-degree controlled substance and Driving After Revocation (DAR).
