(ABC 6 News) A local group will host a town hall Wednesday night to discuss gun violence in Minnesota.

The panel, hosted by the Rochester local group of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, will include community leaders including: Mayor Kim Norton, Rochester Police Captain Jeff Stilwell, Public Defender's Office Dispositional Advisor and more.

The group says the reason for the panel is that "gun violence is the leading cause of death of children and teens in Minnesota. We are going to discuss local gun violence and identify ways we as individuals can fight the gun violence crisis in our country."

The panel will take place at the Gray Duck Theater and Coffeehouse, 619 6th Ave NW at 6:00 p.m.
