Wisconsin man appears in Fillmore Co. court on criminal sexual conduct charges

(ABC 6 News) – A Wisconsin man appeared in Fillmore county court on six counts related to soliciting and engaging in sexual conduct with a minor.

Jace Robert Moeckly, 20, faces one charge of 3rd-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor–penetration, one count of 4th-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, two counts of soliciting a child, and two counts of sexual communication with a child.

According to court documents, Fillmore County law enforcement learned about the sexual encounter through a Corner House interview April 14, 2022.

The 14-year-old victim allegedly met Moeckly over Snapchat and engaged in small talk, during which she disclosed to him that she was a minor. Moeckly allegedly told the victim he was 19 at the time.

According to court documents, Moeckly began to make sexual overtures to the victim, including photos and messages.

The two later had a sexual encounter, which resulted in DNA evidence tested by law enforcement.

Moeckly allegedly admitted to law enforcement that he and the girl had been intimate, but told them no penetration occurred.

Moeckly’s next appearance is scheduled for Nov. 21, 2022.
