(ABC 6 News) – Thursday, November 17 marks “Give to the Max Day.” A day of giving across the state of Minnesota to different nonprofits and schools.

Each Thursday in November, ABC 6 News Good Morning reporter Sydney Zatz has brought you “Thankful Thursday” showing how people in the community are giving back. This week, she’s sharing how a statewide campaign is benefiting one local organization, Ronald McDonald House of Rochester.

“Our goal every year is for millions of dollars to be donated to thousands of organizations through thousands of donors,” said Jake Blumberg, the executive director of GiveMN.

“And so any dollar that is donated makes a huge difference to the organizations that we’re supporting. And even if all we can do is give $10, that $10 when hundreds of us do it can add up incredibly quickly.”

If you or someone you know is making an extra effort to give back to the community, submit them for Thankful Thursday. Email Sydney Zatz at szatz@kaaltv.com.
