(ABC 6 News) – A suspect is in custody and there are no safety concerns for the Pine Island area after a shelter in place order has been canceled.

Earlier Saturday, the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for a possible domestic dispute in southeast Pine Island. When they arrived, a person began making threats of using firearms and said they were being held, hostage.

SWAT teams of Goodhue and Olmsted counties were called on-site. It’s been determined there was no one else inside of the house besides the suspect.

Goodhue County published a CodeRED Alert system requesting a stay in place order. That alert was meant only for those in close proximity to the incident.
