Police respond to three-vehicle crash in Rochester
(ABC 6 News) – Multiple Rochester emergency services responded to a three-vehicle crash Friday evening in the southeast part of town.
According to the Rochester Police Dept., it happened around 6:20 p.m. on the 1700 block of Marion Road SE.
The preliminary report states a vehicle traveling north on Marion Road and a vehicle traveling south on the same road collided. RPD officials say a third vehicle then swerved to avoid the crash and struck a tree.
Two people were treated at the scene by Mayo Clinic Ambulance Services, before being transported to the hospital.
Rochester Fire Dept. officials also say there was “significant damage” to all three vehicles involved.
Due to the crash, Rochester police blocked off the street in order to direct traffic around the area.
Rochester Fire Department, Rochester Police Department, Rochester Community Service and the Mayo Clinic Ambulance Services were all spotted responding to the scene.
