ABC 6 GOTW: Hayfield rides hot shooting to beat Grand Meadow, repeat as section champs

(ABC 6 News) — The first time Hayfield played Grand Meadow this season was on December 29th, and the Vikings squeaked out a 49-46 victory. The second go-round between the two top-10-ranked girls’ basketball teams was not close.

The Vikings seeded No. 1 in the Section 1A tournament, got early control against No. 2 Grand Meadow, and never let go. The result was a 51-32 blitz in the Section 1A championship game at Mayo Civic Auditorium.
