Gov. Walz reappoints Honorable Susan Segal as Chief Judge of Minnesota Court of Appeals

(ABC 6 News) – Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announced on Monday he has reappointed the Honorable Susan Segal as Chief Judge of the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

In May 2020, Walz appointed Segal to fill the remainder of Chief Judge Edward J. Cleary’s term which ended on Monday. Cleary retired in April 2020.

Segal will now continue to serve the role after Monday’s appointment.

Segal’s current term is set to end in January 2023. However, she is running for re-election for judge of the Minnesota Court of Appeals in the November 8 general election.

Segal has served on the Court of Appeals since November 2019. Previously, Segal served for 12 years as the Minneapolis City Attorney.
