(ABC 6 News) - Another local dance studio is jumping on board the virtual class train and offering classes online.
Tippi Toe Dance was set to roll out their virtual classes this summer, but the COVID-19 pandemic sped up the process.
"All of our current families that are enrolled through us receive all the virtual classes for free during the pandemic," Tara Cassmann, owner and instructor at the Rochester location, said. "So, they're getting the virtual classes plus our video classes as well."
Cassmann added that anyone who wants to try can sign up, get the first week free before paying a weekly fee. More information on pricing can be found here.
The company wants to keep kids active and during this time, they are encouraging families to dance together hoping to bring happiness and create normalcy during this tough time.
"We're just trying to spread some joy, honestly, with all of our families," Cassmann said. "Everyone is under pressure and uncertain about what's going on."
Now the question remains, what is the future for local businesses as the COVID-19 pandemic continues?
"What is everyone going to do for recitals? What are people going to do for classes?," Cassmann asked. "Whether it's us, it's other studios or other types of events like music lessons...I just invite families to continue to think about how they can help support other small businesses."
