(ABC 6 News) - Around 8:28 p.m. on Saturday, Mower County Sheriff’s Office responded to a UTV accident near 60081 170th St. Rose Creek, MN.
Officers arrived and found a single UTV rollover in a field. They discovered that two of the three teenage girls had been pinned beneath the UTV.
After the crash, another group of ATV riders had noticed one of the girls waving her arms in their direction, the group went to the scene and lifted the UTV off of them then called 911.
According to Mower County Sheriff's Office, all three teenage girls sustained some sort of injury. Two victims were transported by Adam Ambulance to MCHS Austin, the third victim was airlifted by Mayo One.
The sheriff's office said it's unknown the extent of the injuries.
The Rose Creek Fire Department, Adams Ambulance, Mayo Ambulance and Mayo One all responded to the scene.
According to the sheriff's office, it appeared that the UTV was traveling south on the field edge, where the driver’s side tire caught a rut, lost control and slid on the grass towards the tree line where it made impact with a tree. Then the vehicle may have spun around hitting another tree at which point it rolled onto its side pinning two of the girls.
Correction: No victims were transported by personal vehicle.
