Olmsted County Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns said Bothun was wanted for a probation violation and Wigham was wanted for a traffic violation.

According to Captain Behrns, on Sunday night, deputies followed a vehicle into a rural area of Eyota and saw Bothun behind a shed, with his pants down, defecating.

According to deputies, Bothun pulled his pants up and ran away, but was tackled by deputies. Captain Behrns said deputies were unable to handcuff Bothun because he had feces on him, so they allowed Bothun to clean himself off.

However, Captain Behrns said Bothun refused to pull his shorts back up, and attempted to fight off officers and run away, so a deputy Tased him. The report said Bothun pulled away and fled on foot a second time, before being Tased again by a deputy, and was taken into custody.

Captain Behrns said one deputy received a small cut on his chin from the incident.

In addition to the warrant, Bothun is now facing possible charges of obstrucing the legal process and fleeing an officer on foot.

Captain Behrns said Wigham was located by separate members of law enforcement and was taken into custody, without incident.
