Strong wind will be returning to the region overnight into Tuesday. Strongest west of I35 tonight, wind gusts will reach into the 50-60 mph at times as our departing storm slowly exits. With time, into Tuesday morning, those strongest gusts will ease slightly but also overtake those communities to the west of I35. Gusts from Tuesday morning through sunset will be in the 35-50 mph for most.
Some sporadic wind damage may be possible in some of our western communities, especially tonight into Tuesday morning. A damp ground won't help matters either enhancing the possibility of an uprooted tree. For the threat, we've established an Alert Day.
Winds will start to ease around sunset on Tuesday but will still be noticable through midnight.
