We all know that song, "The Heat Is On". And that'll be the theme song heading into, and even through the upcoming holiday weekend. If you thought Wednesday was warm and humid, just wait until Thursday! We'll crank up the highs by about 10°, and with the humidity, it will feel 10° warmer than that!
Mid/upper 80s will be common for high temperatures Thursday, and all the way into Memorial Day itself. And you guessed it, the humidity will remain a factor for that five day stretch also.
We will remain dry tonight, and most of, if not all of Thursday. Storms won't return until well after dark Thursday night, lasting throughout the day Friday. While it won't be the best severe weather set-up, a few of Friday's storms could be on the strong-side. Overall though, our greatest concern Friday will be the heavy rain potential. An inch or better will be likely for rainfall totals by Friday night, not the best news for a somewhat soggy ground.
For all the campers out there, no worries it won't be a wash-out of a holiday weekend. Heads up though, as a few more showers and storms scoot through the area Sunday. Memorial Day right now looks to be dry, warm, and humid. Perfect for anyone wanting to do a little boating!
Have a great Thursday everyone! Stay Cool!
