(ABC 6 News) -- Around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, a 39-year-old Stewartville man called authorities to report a mail theft.

He said he looked out his window on the 700 block of Maplebrook Dr. and saw a Mercury Sable pull up to his mailbox. The driver allegedly took an envelope out of the mailbox and then drove off.

The man followed the Mercury and got pictures and videos of the suspect and called authorities.

Olmsted County Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns said he believes he knows who the suspect is. The alleged suspect is a woman who is a "repeat offender", according to Capt. Behrns.

The envelope had four USB cables inside, valued at about $15.

Authorities are still looking for the suspect, who faces a felony mail theft charge.
