(ABC 6 News) - An 80-year-old Stewartville man is facing life-threatening injuries after a crash with a crop sprayer Tuesday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report, the crash happened around 9:30 a.m. when Larry Turner attempted to pass the sprayer on Highway 30.
The report states the car rolled several times before coming to rest in a ditch.
Turner was airlifted to Saint Marys and the driver of the crop sprayer was uninjured.
One person was airlifted to Saint Marys after a car vs. tractor crash east of Stewartville.
According to Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Troy Christianson, the crash happened on 37th Avenue SE and Highway 30. Christianson said both vehicles were traveling westbound when the car reportedly attempted to pass two cars and a tractor with a sprayer; the tractor was turning left and the car reportedly hit the tractor.
Christianson said the driver of the car suffered serious injuries and the driver of the tractor is unharmed.
The crash is still under investigation and a portion of Highway 30 in that area is closed.
